Many of the Russian reservists called up to fight in Ukraine will probably have to buy their own bulletproof vests.and their prices have skyrocketed, according to the latest British intelligence report.
The UK Ministry of Defense also stated that “endemic corruption and poor logistics” remain one of the causes of Russia‘s “bad performance” in Ukraine.
The Ministry said the average amount of personal equipment Russia was providing to its mobilized reservists was “almost certainly inferior to the already poor supply of previously deployed troops”.
“Many reservists are likely to have to purchase their own body armor, especially the modern 6B45 vest, which is supposed to be in general distribution to combat units as part of the Ratnik personal equipment program,” the defense ministry wrote in its twitter account.

The Ministry said the vest had been being sold on Russian online shopping sites for 40,000 rubles (about $640)compared to about 12,000 rubles in April.
In 2020, the Russian authorities announced that they had supplied 300,000 Ratnik armor sets to its armed forces, “sufficient to equip the forces currently deployed in Ukraine”.

BelarusRussia’s ally in its conflict with Ukraine, has already lent its territory to the Russian army for the start of its offensive in February, although Belarusian forces have so far not participated in the fighting on Ukrainian territory.
The entry of Belarusian forces into the conflict would mark a new escalation.

Victor Tumarrepresentative of the Belarusian Army General Staff, announced the day before the next arrival of the Russian military, a decision made by both countries before the increase in the potential of NATO on the borders with Belarus, the rearmament of Poland and the Baltic countries.
“The regional military grouping of the State Union is a strictly defensive project”, highlighted Tumar.
Last week, the Belarusian dictator, Alexander Lukashenkoannounced the creation of said group with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin. “In view of the aggravation of the situation on the western borders of the Union State, we agreed to deploy a regional (military) grouping” of both countries, he noted.
Next, the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenbergasked Minsk to stop supporting Russia’s “special military operation”.
