Following the disqualification of Muammar Khadafi’s son by the electoral commission, he filed an appeal that has been involved in tensions, after a group of armed men identified with the logo of the Tariq bin Ziyad brigades – a militia linked to General Khalifa Haftar – surrounded the Sebha court on several occasions to prevent the judges from advancing the appeal filed by Al Islam.
