A strong earthquake, which lasted at least 30 seconds, with a magnitude of 6.5, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS), was felt on Tuesday night in Pakistan and Afghanistanwitnesses reported.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the northeast of Afghanistan near the city of Jorm, on the border with Pakistan and Tajikistan and at a depth of more than 187 kmaccording to the USGS.

According to Pakistan’s meteorological office, the quake was of magnitude 7.7.
