Rescue operations are still underway, and emergency teams have already managed to remove nearly 200 tons of rubble from the affected construction, a nine-story residential building.

In recent days, the Russian authorities have changed their strategy in the war in Ukraine, focusing their attacks on civilian areas and infrastructure.

Moscow has taken this measure in retaliation for an explosion on Saturday that damaged the strategic Kerch bridge, which links Russia and the Crimean peninsula, annexed in 2014.

The Russian army has launched in the last 24 hours dozens of air and missile strikes that have hit some areas of the kyiv region and even the city of Zaporizhzhiawhich targeted key infrastructure in the country.

In total, the Ukrainians have accounted for in one day 15 air strikes and another 22 with MLRS missiles (multiple launch rocket systems)reported the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), according to the local Interfax agency.

“The Russian occupation forces launched a missile attack, carried out 15 air strikes and organized 22 bombing attacks using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) against Ukraine in the last 24 hours,” the military authorities specified.

The enemy continues to attack critical infrastructure and civilian objects in Ukraine. Facilities and civilians in Nalyvaikivka, in the kyiv region, and in the cities of Mykolaiv and Nikopol, both in the south, were attacked.

According to the General Staff, the enemy used Iranian-made cruise missiles, aircraft, surface-to-air missiles and drones for these attacks.

“The threat of air and missile attacks from the airspace and the territory of the Republic of Belarus remains,” the military statement added.

The Russian troops also launched again in the last hours a missile attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia and a fire broke out in one of the districts of the city.
