Aespa will be the first K-pop group to perform at the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival

Karina, Winter, Giselle and NingNing, from the fourth generation of the industry, continue to impress with their achievements

K-pop girl group Aespa will become the first group of the genre to appear at the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in the United States, their management agency, SM Entertainment, announced.

The Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival is an American musical event that takes place outdoors, with the participation of 220,000 people each year, and offers not only musical performances, but also works of artistic installations and representative foods of the region. Artists of the stature of Elton John, Billie Eilish and The Weeknd have participated in the event.

The South Korean group Aespa, made up of Karina (leader), Winter, Giselle and NingNing, is on the list of singers for this year’s festival.

This year’s festival will take place from August 11 to 13 (local time) at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, United States.

This will not be the first event in which Aespa will make history. In January it was learned that the group, a benchmark for the fourth generation of K-pop, is preparing to become the first Korean musical act to perform at the Governors Ball 2023 festival, which will be held in New York in June and will be led by Lizzo, ODESZA and Kendrick Lamar.

“We are very excited to perform at the Gov Ball. We can’t wait to see our New York fans and have a great time at the festival.” they expressed.
