All about the new productions of the Rovzar brothers for TelevisaUnivision

TelevisaUnivision and the brothers Billy and Fernando Rovzar, through their production company Lemon Studios, will make four original titles for ViX+ that will be released during the second half of the year.

This was announced through a press release, where they revealed some details of what can be seen in the new premium subscription service (SVOD) in Spanish. It is a movie, a reality show and two fiction series.

“In this era of high-end content, there was a need for a place that focused on giving Latino creators a voice. ViX+ unites the two largest Spanish-language content forces in the world to answer this call. With its aggressive production plan in Spanish, Lemon Studios proudly joins the mission of helping our stories feed this platform for many years,” said Billy Rovzar, founding partner of Lemon Studios.

The original titles for ViX+

Through a statement some details of the new productions were revealed.

It is a horror movie for the whole family that tells the story of Tomás, a fan of horror and fantasy literature, who at only 11 years old faces the greatest adventure of his life: deciphering if his teacher is a child-eating monster about to attack your entire school.

All while his family and friends doubt his theories. Written by Ricardo Avilés and directed by Jose Sierra, “My teacher ate my friend” began production in February and has Ilse Salas as the protagonist.

They will also carry out a reality show that will be called “La loca de los perro” and that is aimed at dog lover. The story is about the intrepid life of Erika Fernández, the extroverted television host who alternates her glamorous life with a noble mission: to rescue all the puppies that need her and are in danger. The recording of this reality show that shows that people who fight in a “pack” leave their mark begins on March 23.

Additionally, two original series are in development under the following working titles:

  1. “A Good Divorce” is a dramedy about a couple of successful divorce lawyers who personify the saying that “at the blacksmith’s house, stick a knife”.
  2. “It’s not you, it’s my daddy issues” a dramedy about a 27-year-old screenwriter who, after the death of her mother, has to face the adult world alongside her father whom she hasn’t seen since she was a child, and who finds herself in his own search for what it means to be a “responsible adult”.
