1. NINEL COUNT

“We are preparing here (in Miami) with vocal and choreographic coaches, and studying the characters, because we still don’t know what we are going to get, but we are practicing the characters that are iconic in representing, and you have to study everything: their gestures , how they sing… because they are like tributes to the big stars. The biggest challenge for me has been to get out of my comfort zone of my shows, where for example I do medleys of different artists, but in my style, with my voice and phrasing, and now maybe one of those songs will play me, but in the real way of the artists and give them the timbre of their voice, which is not easy. I can tell you that every Sunday they will have a program full of different interpretations and it will be a show; even suddenly it will be up to us women to make men, and vice versa”.

2. KIKA EDGAR

“I am very happy, it is a program that is going to have many challenges, we are going to do things that we would never have thought of; having the opportunity to become great artists to pay them a great tribute with great respect makes me very happy. I think we all had to prepare ourselves physically, mentally and vocally to be able to achieve each of the performances that we are going to do on stage; however, we have a great coach, who is Angélica Vale”.

3. YAHIR

“I have to confess that when this project came into my life, I almost let it go, because personifying is something very difficult, and here it is not doing it as a joke, it is a matter of paying homage to the artist, of getting into the skin of the character to make it as similar as possible to him, and that is quite a challenge. I’ve been working a lot with my singing teacher to try to make other sounds, and I’m still working now with the coaches here.”

4. SHERLYN

“The desire to continue challenging myself as an actress and to continue growing led me to Your face sounds like me; It motivates me a lot to get on stage and be part of this great project of the merger of TelevisaUnivision. Without a doubt, it is one of the biggest challenges I have taken on in my career, but to give the best of myself I have prepared myself one hundred percent at the vocal level, in the choreographies and in everything; Literally, it is as if we did a master’s degree in each of the artists that we have to interpret, because, in my case, I investigate their careers, their movements, how they laugh, where they come from… We are preparing a show that is going to leave everyone with their mouths open!”.

5. CHRISTIAN DANIEL

“It’s something completely new for me, but I’m enjoying it so much that it’s crazy. Without a doubt it is a great challenge to be able to interpret other artists, and this has been like a school, we are every day in choreography rehearsals, singing classes and everything, and then, on the day of the show, they literally have to transform us, make changes to our faces if we need to, clothing… In short, it’s a great experience, I really feel like I’m in a movie; I think the biggest challenge for me on this show is going to be vocal, because you have to change your voice and place it in a tone that resembles the artist you have to interpret, and that’s something I’ve never done.”

6. MICHAEL STUART

“People are going to have the opportunity to enjoy this program in this time that joy is needed, to cleanse their ears and mind a little. This program came to me like a glove, there is a lot of talent, we laugh, we enjoy, we learn… I think it is an incredible platform for an artist who really wants to really challenge himself. In my case, since I was little I was always restless, I imitated the characters of El Chavo del 8, Cantinflas and television characters in Puerto Rico; I always loved doing it, and now this project gives me the opportunity to relive those childhood moments and to be able to expose Michael Stuart in his entirety, the singer, the actor and the dancer.”

7. HELEN OCHOA

“This reality show came into my life at a time when I did not expect it, and I am very happy and grateful; For me it is a great challenge and I really wanted to do it because it is a very beautiful way to get out of my comfort zone, as well as being an opportunity to pay tribute to the great artists that I have admired since I was little. I knew that I had to prepare myself, that it was going to require knowing how to dance and having a lot of movement on stage, so I said: ‘I want to give one hundred percent and for people to see the best version of me on stage’”.

8. MANNY CRUZ

“I know that this program is going to mark a before and after in our lives; I know it’s going to be a wonderful experience and I want to enjoy every show and every transformation to the fullest. Each week will have its own challenges and you have to prepare, study each artist and not only on a vocal level, but also their personality from start to finish, their movements and everything so that the tribute is as worthy as possible for the artist. I think some artists are going to be easier to play than others, but I’ve never done it before and it’s going to be a unique experience.”
