Archeology of a Sound Monument

This exhibition is a space that collects more than 160 years of history.

The Government of the State of San Luis Potosí, headed by José Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, through the Ministry of Culture, invites the general public to visit the exhibition “Archeology of a Sound Monument: The Mexican National Anthem” installed at the Museo del Railway “Jesús García Corona”.

This exhibition is a space that collects more than 160 years of history, which seeks to enhance, remember and value one of our national symbols, through various means of support such as music, videos and an interaction with unpublished texts.

This is a creation of the Political Development and Civic Development Unit of the Ministry of the Interior, which carried out the research to generate this exhibition, which has traveled throughout the Mexican Republic.

Created from more than 35 collections, 400 images, sound and film testimonies.

Composed of four stanzas and a chorus, the lyrics by Francisco González Bocanegra from Potosi and the music of Jaime Nuno, will be analyzed and shown to the public who wishes to attend and be a participant in this exhibition, located in room 2 of the museum, at a time of 09:00 to 18:00 hours. Valid as of December 30, 2021.
