The General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine has reported this Wednesday that a Russian missile attack has left three dead, including a minor, in Zelenivka, in the region of Khersona bombing that has been condemned by the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelensky.
“On May 17 around 4:00 p.m. (local time) the invaders fired on a village in the Kherson district. One of the cartridges hit near a store ”, he reported in a statement published on his official Facebook profile.
Likewise, two other people have been injured, including a minor. The General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine has launched an investigation to determine whether the attack represents a “violation of the laws of war.”
Zelensky condemned the attack on Wednesday in an evening speech in which he has demanded more weapons from allied countries to stop the increase in attacks by Russia.
“Russian shelling in our Kherson region claimed the life of another child. His name was Vsevolod. He would have turned six in July. My condolences to family and friends! ”, He has sentenced, adding that more attacks have been registered in regions such as Sumy, Chernigov, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast or Zaporizhia.
On the other hand, an anti-aircraft defense system patriot supplied to Ukraine for its war against Russia it was damaged but still working, a US Defense Department official said Wednesday.

“The Patriot system is still operational” and the damage, caused by an unidentified projectile that landed nearby, is being assessed, the official told the news agency. AFP.
Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yury Ignat previously said “everything is fine with the Patriot” but declined to specify whether the system had been damaged. “The Patriot is in service,” Ignat told the AFP.
kyiv received the first shipments of the US-made Patriot surface-to-air missile system last April. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed that both Germany and the United States had delivered flak batteries to the Ukraine.
Ukraine had repeatedly lobbied for such a high-tech system to guard against Russian attacks on civilians and infrastructure.
On Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said its forces had attacked a Patriot system in kyiv with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile.
Ukraine announced that its air defense shot down six of Russia’s hypersonic missiles, but Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu rejected that claim.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, who introduced the Kinzhal in 2018, called it “an ideal weapon” that is extremely difficult to intercept.
