For his part, the governor of the Ukrainian city of Poltava, Dimitro Lunínreported this Wednesday a series of missile attacks thrown by the Russian Armed Forces against the territory and that have impacted critical and civilian infrastructures.

“The enemy launched a missile attack against critical infrastructures and civilians in the Kremenchuk district,” denounced the governor of Poltava, a region located in central-eastern Ukraine, bordering with Kharkiv.

The regional authorities indicated that they are gathering information on the possible victims and the scope of the destruction caused for this new offensive attributed to the Russian troops.

This new bombardment occurs on a day in which the Ukrainian side has reported the presence of Iranian-made drones, launched by Russia and whose objective would be precisely critical facilities.

Meanwhile, the adviser to the Ukrainian Presidency, Mikhailo Podoliakdenounced that there are still important european companies that they continue to operate on Russian territory and that, with their taxes, They are financing the war”, for which they should be sanctioned.

Podoliak pointed directly to raiffeisenbankthe Russian subsidiary of the Austrian bank Raiffeisen Banking Group; the german multinational Meter; or the French group Auchanaccording to the agency ukrinform.

“By paying taxes to Russia, they are actually financing the war as such (…). And it looks, to put it mildly, a little strange. So, of course, there are many more companies that need to impose sanctions,” Podoliak said.

Along these lines, the main adviser to the Ukrainian Presidency regretted that in Europe there are “certain forces” that, “after all”, would “like Russia to remain a partner in the market”.

Podoliak remarked that to end the war in Ukraine it is necessary not only to supply the country with weapons, but also to limit economic contributions to Russia as much as possible, thus avoiding taxes.

It’s obvious. You cannot give weapons to Ukraine with one hand and support the financing of the Russian Army through tax systems with the other. It is necessary to talk about this directly, clearly name those companies that pay taxes in Russia and on which sanctions should be imposed,” he said.
