Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s sister called for the overthrow of the Iranian regime: “The uprising is legitimate and necessary”

Badri Hosseini Khamenei, sister of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei

Badri Hosseini Khameneisister of the supreme leader of Iran, Ali Khameneihas written a letter in which he assures that he hopes to “soon see the victory of the people and the overthrow of this tyranny that governs Iran”.

Khamenei’s sister resides in Tehran but the letter has been published through his son Mahmoud Moradkhaniwho is currently in France.

The daughter of Badri and Khamenei’s niece, Farideh Moradkhaniwas arrested at the end of November for criticizing the Iranian leader and the repression during the protests and has been in prison in the past for his activism against the Islamic Republic.

Also, Badri’s husband, Ali Tehrani, has spent long periods in jail for his anti-regime activities.

“The regime of Islamic Republic of Khomeini and Ali Khamenei has brought nothing but suffering and oppression to Iran and the Iranians. The people of Iran deserve freedom and prosperity, and their uprising is legitimate and necessary to achieve their rights,” the letter said.

“My brother does not listen to the voice of the people and mistakenly considers that the voice of his mercenaries and money grabbers is the voice of the Iranian people,” he said.

“As my human duty, for decades I have brought the voice of the people to the ears of my brother Ali Khamenei. But after seeing that he did not listen and continued the path of (the Ayatollah) Khomeini by suppressing and killing innocent people, I cut off my relationship with him,” he clarified.

“I oppose my brother’s actions and express my sympathy for all the mothers who mourn the crimes of the regime of the Islamic Republicfrom the time of Khomeini to the present era of the despotic caliphate of Ali Khamenei”.

The Revolutionary Guard and Ali Khamenei’s mercenaries “must lay down their arms as soon as possible and join the people before it is too late. May the legitimate struggle of the people to achieve freedom and democracy be carried out as soon as possible.”

Iran has experienced serious disturbances since the death of the young woman Mahsa Amini after being arrested by the morality police for not wearing well islamic veil.

In the almost three months of protests, more than 400 people have died and at least 2,000 have been accused of various crimes for their participation in the mobilizations, of which 11 people have been sentenced to death.

THE COMPLETE LETTER

In the name of God

Losing a child and being away from your child is a great sadness for every mother.

Many mothers have suffered bereavement during the last four decades.

I think it is appropriate now to declare that I oppose my brother’s actions and express my solidarity with all the mothers who mourn the crimes of the Islamic Republic regime, from the time of Khomeini to the current era of Ali Khamenei’s despotic caliphate.

Like all Iranian mourning mothers, I am also sad to be away from my daughter.

When my daughter is violently arrested, of course they apply thousands of times more violence to other oppressed children who are subjected to inhumane cruelty.

Our family’s opposition and fight against this criminal system began a few months after the Revolution.

The crimes of this system, the suppression of all dissenting voices, the imprisonment of the most cultured and supportive youth of this land, the harshest punishments, and large-scale executions began from the beginning.

From the beginning, my husband Ali Tehrani was against this system and the theocratic government. He was the voice of the people’s desire for freedom, and because of that, he endured all kinds of hardships, including being imprisoned twice in 1360 (1980) and spending ten years in prison in his old age.

For the past twenty years, my daughter Farideh has endured all kinds of hardship and imprisonment for her civil and human rights activities, including supporting political prisoners and their families and trying to stop unjust executions.

Due to my human duty, I brought the voice of the people to the ears of my brother Ali Khamenei many times decades ago. However, after I saw that he did not listen and followed the path of Khomeini in suppressing and killing innocent people, I severed my relationship with him.

My concern has always been and always will be the people, especially the women of Iran. I believe that the regime of the Islamic Republic of Khomeini and Ali Khamenei has brought nothing but suffering and oppression to Iran and the Iranians.

The people of Iran deserve freedom and prosperity, and their uprising is legitimate and necessary to achieve their rights.

I hope to see the victory of the people and the overthrow of this tyranny ruling Iran soon.

The Revolutionary Guard and Ali Khamenei’s mercenaries must lay down their arms as soon as possible and join the people before it is too late.

I am very sorry that due to physical ailments, I am unable to participate in protest movements as I should.

But in heart and soul, I am with the people of Iran.

My brother does not listen to the voice of the people of Iran and mistakenly considers the voice of his mercenaries and money thieves to be the voice of the Iranian people, he rightly deserves the disrespectful and insolent words he uses to describe the downtrodden but brave members of the people of Iran.

May the just struggle of the people to achieve freedom and democracy be carried out as soon as possible.
