The wait is over, BIGBANG’s Taeyang is back.
The singer and dancer of one of the most important groups of the second generation of K-Pop launched his solo project Down to Earth on Tuesday.
It is a six-song EP that includes collaborations with superstars: Lisa from BLACKPINK and Jimin from BTS. The long-awaited comeback occurred on April 25 with the release of the music video for ‘Seed’ and the Performance Video for ‘Shoong!’ alongside the BLACKPINK rapper and dancer.
With a mix of R&B, hip-hop, and some trap elements, Lisa and Taeyang delivered a powerful choreography that has wowed their fans and landed them on the number 1 YouTube trend.
In just 10 hours since its release, the video has amassed more than 7.9 million views on YouTube and debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes chart.
The collaboration was celebrated by Blink –BLACKPINK fans– and by VIP –BIGBANG fans–, who showed their excitement on social media.
Within an hour of launch, the #ShoongxTAEYANGxLisa hashtag was trending number one globally on Twitter.
Blinks de México celebrated the successful launch one day after BLACKPINK’s first concert at Foro Sol in Mexico City. The most important K-Pop group will perform on April 26 and 27 for the first time in a Latin American country as part of their BORN PINK tour.
