The musical “Once Upon a One More Time” (Once upon a time more), based on the discography of Britney Spears, will open next year on Broadway, and tickets will be available before the premiere on June 22, 2023.
The choreographers Keone & Mari Madrid brought to the scene a script by Jon Hartmere, which has given a feminist twist to classic tales such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid.
Spears hits such as “Oops, I did it again!”, “Toxic”, “Lucky” and “Circus” will appear on the scene, although she has not participated in this project, the producers clarified.
The work is not a world premiere, since it was previously exhibited in Washington, in a Shakespeare Theater Company production, where it garnered all kinds of criticism, including some who criticized the lack of subtlety of the story.
At the moment, only the names of the technical team have been revealed, but not the actors who will give life to the characters of these fairy tales.
The 41-year-old artist has kept silent about this adaptation of her songs, while she lavishes her appearances on her Instagram account with increasingly daring poses, barely covering her body.
