Carmen Campuzano was one of the queens who paraded this weekend in the Pride March in Mexico City.
His presence was one of those that caused the greatest astonishment due to the design he wore and the new look he wore throughout the tour he took.
With spectacular makeup, Campuzano wore a dress designed by Zeus de la Vega, who was inspired by the Statue of Liberty.
“What it represents is that it is not only a pride march but also a social struggle, as it has always been, because there are many places in the world where the community is still marginalized and restricted,” explains the designer, who has worn also famous as Silvia Pinal and Gaby Spanic.

For Campuzano, the dress and her participation in the march is one more dream that comes true.
“Carmen and the gay community have a great synergy because they have been an important part of my career since the beginning. I love and support them and every year that we add something new for that equality in their rights, it makes me very happy.”
The design that Carmen wore is made with angel tulle and shows a rainbow at the bottom.
The top of the head is a glass tiara that makes Campuzano look like a queen or a Statue of Liberty.
“It took us eight days to make the design,” says Zeus.
“It has very fine beaded lace and the embroidery is by hand, it’s haute couture work.”
