Corsage: The Rebel Empress narrates the life of Sissy, a woman who is about to turn 40 and who, due to her royal position, is subject to public opinion and the demand for perfection, slenderness and grace. Disconcerted by her age, she will seek a way to maintain her public image, previously idolized for her beauty.

Corsage: The Rebel Empress is a film inspired by the life of Elizabeth of Bavaria, the Empress of Austria known for her extravagant personality that caused controversy among the most conservative sectors of Europe.

With the title of Elisabeth of Austria, she was also a woman who went through difficult times such as the death of her son Rodolfo. With a delicate spirit, the queen consort of Hungary lived with a feeling of melancholy until the end of her days.

The film directed by Marie Kreutzer will arrive in Mexican movie theaters on January 26.
