Engineers from Tamaulipas are summoned by NASA

The talent and dedication of young people and engineers in Tamaulipas has taken them far, even very close to the cosmos. These are some of them that have been accepted into NASA’s international aerospace program.

Each of them has experienced an extraordinary experience with which they reap learning and future expectations, derived from their discipline and perseverance, even if this implies financial expenses.
The case of Anna Laura Rodríguez López moved many people nationwide in 2021.

Since although the then Mechatronics student at the Polytechnic University of Ciudad Victoria had been accepted to the program, she needed to raise around 75 thousand pesos to cover her flight and residence expenses in the United States.

So he decided to sell sweets in Plaza 15 of the capital of Tamaulipas to raise funds. Her case achieved such relevance that both foundations and the state government came forward to help her achieve her goal and in just two weeks she managed to raise the amount she needed.

A native of Ciudad Victoria and an Electronic Engineering student at the National Technology of Mexico, Joseph Muñoz González was also part of the program held at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

As an educational plan that involves teamwork and problem solving between students and NASA engineers, Joseph developed the “Metal Glass Compliant Mechanisms” project, with which he was recognized with third place by the aerospace agency.
