Fernando Botero died this Friday at the age of 91 in Italy, and his death immediately caused shock throughout the world. The plastic artist became famous for his paintings and sculptures of voluptuous figures.
An announcement from his daughter, Lina Botero, through Caracol Radio confirmed this sad news: “My father died this morning at 9:00 am in Monaco (…) he had developed pneumonia,” he stated.
