Gina Romand dies at the age of 84, diva of the Mexican Golden Cinema

The actress Gina Romand died at age 84 after being admitted to a hospital for complications of pneumonia.

Gina Romand is a well-known Cuban actress and vedette who participated in several films of the so-called “Golden Age of Mexican Cinema”.

Gabriel Varela, son of the actress, reported on his Twitter account about the unfortunate passing of Ginastressing that she was hospitalized.

With all my sorrow, I say goodbye to my mother, Gina Romand, who always enlightened my life, now rest in peace illuminating the sky with its eternal brightness. I will always miss you and love you forever. Rest easy my category blonde,” she wrote.

just a week ago Gabriel Varela asked for prayers for his mother, back then hospitalized for the same pneumonia.

Who was Gina Romand?

Born in Havana, Cuba, a February 15, 1938, Georgina Garcia Tamargo became a talented film and television actress.

Gina started her career at Havana inside nightclubs like “Tropicana”.
