K-pop girl group STAYC, known for their usual bubbly and upbeat image and style, has chosen “Teenfresh” as the title of their third extended play (EP) album, to highlight their signature concept. .
The album was released this Wednesday, at 6:00 pm, and has six songs, including the lead single “Bubble”, along with “Not Like You”, “I Wanna Do” and “Be Mine”.
“The album features songs from the signature genre of STAYC,” vocalist Sieun mentioned during a media presentation held in Seoul a few hours before the EP’s release. “They can feel our positive energy and our unique color,” she added.
The new EP marks the group’s first release in six months, since their successful fourth single album, “Teddy Bear,” which was released in February.
“Bubble” is an upbeat song with a synth bass sound and an addictive hook. The track encourages listeners to ignore the opinions and words of others, comparing them to bubbles that will soon disappear.
The song, performed during the media performance, had a somewhat similar melody and positive message to the band’s previous hit, “Teddy Bear”.
The vocalist said that many people told her that they had found comfort in ‘Teddy Bear’, but, in fact, they themselves were also very comforted by that song. Therefore, after speaking with her producer, they decided to make “a brilliant song with a positive message”, which is what they do best.
