Iranian regime forces shot dead three protesters in Kurdistan, the province where Mahsa Amini was killed

The iranian security forces shot dead at least three protesters this Saturday in the northwest of the country during protests triggered by the death of the young woman Mahsa Aminiad hengawan Iranian Kurdish advocacy NGO.

“The repressive government forces opened fire on protesters in the city of divandarrehkilling at least three civilians”, he told the news agency AFP this NGO based in Norway.

Protesters have been killed in 22 of the 31 provinces of Iranreported on Wednesday Iran Human Rightsincluding 123 in Sistan-Balochistan and 32 in Amini’s home province of Kurdistan.

Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian girl of Kurdish origin, died three days after being detained in Tehran by the well-known Morale Police for an alleged breach of the Islamic Republic’s compulsory veiling law.

The corpse of the protester ‘seized’

Protests intensified overnight in the city of Bukanin Kurdistan, where the Revolutionary Guards opened fire on crying family members at a murdered protester and his body was taken from the hospital before being buried at an undisclosed location, Hengaw said.

Activists accuse Iranian security forces of carrying out secret burials of the protesters they have killed, to prevent more violence from breaking out at their funerals.

“Last night, after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces attacked the Shahid Gholi Pur hospital in Bukan, they seized the body of shahryar mohammadi and secretly buried him,” Hengaw reported, adding that the forces “opened fire on his family, inflicting injuries on at least five of them.”

“The forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have significantly increased the use of lethal weapons in the attacks against the demonstrators in the last five days”, said hengaw to AFP.

The human rights group said security forces had killed at least 25 people in Kurdistan since Tuesday, when protesters poured into the streets in the anniversary of a deadly 2019 crackdown known as the “Bloody Aban” – or bloody November.

“Twenty-three people died from direct fire, one from torture and one from stab wounds,” Hengaw said.

On Saturday, Iran’s state newspaper reported that 14 security personnel had been killed in three days of protests called to mark the November 15 anniversary.

Hundreds of people died in the crackdown on street violence in 2019, which erupted from a rise in fuel prices.

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs lashed out at the “deliberate silence of foreign promoters of chaos and violence in Iran in the face of terrorist operations in various Iranian cities.”

“It is the duty of the international community and international assemblies to condemn the recent terrorist acts in Iran and not to provide a safe haven for extremists,” he added.
