The Israel Border Policethe defense forces (IDF) and the Security Agency (ISA) reported this Wednesday the arrest of a terrorist in the camp of Jeninin the north of west bank.
“A few moments ago, during a anti-terrorism activity joint operation carried out following accurate information from the ISA and the IDF, the Israel Border Police, the IDF and the ISA forces detained Muhammad Nanghiyehfrom the Jenin camp,” the Israeli authorities said in a joint statement.
Naghnaghiya, a member of the largely inactive Tanzim terror group, was detained for his alleged collaboration in carrying out a series of shooting attacks in the West Bank in recent months, the army said.
During the anti-terror activity, the assailants opened fire on Israel Border Police officers, who responded with live fire, authorities added.
Tanzim, an armed militia founded in 1995 and loosely affiliated with the Palestinian Authority’s ruling Fatah party, was a key player in the violence at the beginning of the Second Intifada in 2000, according to The Times of Israel.

On Tuesday, the IDF and the Border Police attacked a building containing various explosive devices ready to be used and that worked like terrorist headquarters suspects in the Nur Shams Palestinian refugee campin the north of west bank.

For its part, in the town of Kafr ‘Aqab, the Army arrested three suspects, while confiscated an M-16 rifle and additional military material. Those arrested threw Molotov cocktails at the forces, authorities said.
The raids at different points in the West Bank led to heavy clashes and resulted in 21 Palestinians detained and the confiscation of weapons.
Violence has escalated significantly this year in the West Bank, Jerusalem and different cities in Israel, an area that lives its bloodiest year since the Second Intifada (2000-2005).
