The president of United States, Joe Bidenand the british king Charles III had a warm phone call this Tuesday afternoon in which highlighted the friendship between their peoples and reaffirmed their close relationshipthe cabinets reported.
Likewise, the President congratulate the King on his coronation -which will take place next May 6- although he told him that will not be able to be present. In his place, his wife, the first lady, will attend. Jill Bidenwho “is anxious to go on behalf of the United States.”
The party will take place throughout the first weekend of the month and will include a procession, royal salutes, concerts, volunteer programs and even the “Great Coronation Luncheon”.

However, Biden remarked to the 74-year-old monarch his willingness to be able to arrange a meeting as soon as possible.
The last time the President was in the UK was last Septemberwhen he visited London with his wife as part of the funeral of the Queen isabel II. In any case, his agenda for the coming weeks includes a visit to the area since it is expected that -later in the month- he will appear in person at the British province of Northern Ireland and in the Republic of Ireland.
The reason for this trip is the celebration of 25th anniversary of the peace agreementknown as the Good Friday Peace Agreement. In 1998, this event brought an end to three decades of conflict between Catholic republicans and Protestant unionists which, with the involvement of the British army, left more than 3,600 dead.
The magnitude of this visit has led the British Government to raise “severe” the level of alert in the area before a possible terrorist threat in the hands of New IRA – a dissident Republican group that participated in attacks in recent years. According to the British Minister for Northern Ireland, Chris Heaton-Harris, the internal intelligence service MI5 considers that the risk went from “substantial” to “severe”, therefore an attack is “highly likely”.

The call this Tuesday is not the first sign of the good relationship between the governments. Weeks ago, Biden met in California with the prime minister Rishi Sunakwhom he invited to the White House in June.
Likewise, in October, after his marathon election as premierethe President had expressed his will by “continue close cooperation” between nations.
“The United States and the United Kingdom are strong allies and have a lasting friendship, and that fact will never change.. And therefore we know that will remain reliable partners on a number of issuesincluding that of holding Russia responsible for its aggression against Ukraine,” spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre had said at the time.
On the other hand, recently the countries have shown themselves united in the face of threats from rival powers, such as Russia in its aggression on the Ukraine and China with its expansion plans around the globe.

To do this, along with Australia boosted military and industrial agreements which include the sale of between three and five US Canberra nuclear submarines and even a program for the construction of a new type of submarine for the navies.
Thus, nations seek to deal with the ambitions of the Xi Jinping regime in the Indo-Pacific. “AUKUS is our way of facing the future,” commented Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
