The President of the USA, Joe Bidenmoved from the United Kingdom to Lithuania on Monday after a brief visit in London, during which he discussed the war in Ukraine with the British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunakand the climate crisis with the king Charles IIIbefore heading to the NATO summit in Vilnius.
The Air Force One plane took off at around 3:30 p.m. local time (2:30 p.m. GMT) from Stansted Airport, north London, and landed some two hours later in Lithuaniawhere the allies will discuss aid to Ukraine in the face of the Russian invasion and the Ukrainian candidacy to join the Atlantic Alliance.

Earlier, at Windsor Castle, President Biden was greeted by an honor guard before entering the fortress for tea with the British monarch. Charles III and deal with the climate crisis.
Biden and the king spoke with the participants of a forum that seeks to find ways to raise funds to help developing countries face the climate crisis.
Among those present were the US Special Envoy for Climate, john kerry; UK Minister for Energy Security and Net Zero, Grant Shapps; the CEO of Bank of America, Brian Moynihan; as well as the CEO of HSBC bank, Noel Quinnamong others.

Shapps stated in his speech that UK ‘very pleased’ with climate targets included in the inflation reduction law promoted by Biden and the Democrats in the United States.
For his part, Kerry stressed that the world is in “uncharted territory” before the increase in global temperature, which “terrorizes” scientists.
Biden thanked the monarch for having organized the eventand after greeting and chatting briefly with those present, he went by helicopter to Stansted to board Air Force One bound for Vilnius, where he landed at 16:20 GMT.

Biden’s trip came in the midst of criticism from conservative and monarchical circles after, last May, he did not travel to London to attend the coronation of Carlos IIIwho ascended the throne on September 8, on the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Before meeting with Carlos, the US president held a meeting Sunak in Downing Street. The two leaders discussed the progress of the counter-offensive in Ukraine and the importance of supporting that country so that it can win the war, according to official British sources.
Biden called ‘rock solid’ relationship between his country and the UKas he highlighted while having tea with Sunak in the gardens of the official residence of the prime minister.
