Juanes returns after 4 years of absence with music inspired by his most difficult moments

  • Juanes is inspired by the emotions of love, heartbreak and toxic relationships in his new album, which includes a duet with singer-songwriter Juan Luis Guerra

Colombian singer Juanes has released his new album ‘Vida cotidiana’, available now on digital, CD and vinyl, and marks the premiere of the singer-songwriter’s first completely original studio album since ‘Más Futuro Que Pasado’ in 2019.

During this new creative cycle, Juanes combines his return to his electric guitar rock roots with his great skill as a composer, which he used during the pandemic to take a more mature and introspective look at life, love, family, social concerns and more.

The high praise he has received for his artistic vision on the singles he has anticipated suggests the album will be one of the standout Latin records of the year, and a new creative pinnacle in Juanes’ distinguished career.

“I think this is my best album as a musician, songwriter and artist.

All my previous experiments are certainly valid but getting out of your comfort zone and feeling uncomfortable can be a transformative experience.

This new session returns to the places that are closely connected to my essence.

The current sounds and themes that come from the depths of my heart and my soul”, commented the 50-year-old singer.

As part of the launch, the video for the single Cecilia was also released, together with the legend of Latin music, Juan Luis Guerra, dedicated to Juanes’ wife, Karen Cecilia Martínez.
