Kai-Fu Lee, the creator of Siri, will give a lecture on what the future will be shaped by Artificial Intelligence

For the fourth consecutive year, the Spanish media The Independent organize the International Congress of Artificial Intelligence to be held in Alicante on November 26.

In this edition, the focus will be on the new world order that is shaping the Artificial intelligence.

One of the most anticipated criminals is Kai-Fu Lee, creator of Siri, the artificial intelligence with personal assistant functions of the iOS ecosystem, and former president of Google China.

Lee is also the author of best-seller AI 2041: Ten Visions For Our Future”(IA 2041: Ten visions for our future), in which together with the novelist Chen Qiufan imagine our world 20 years from now and how it will be traversed, shaped and transfigured by the Artificial intelligence.

Lee, who is currently CEO of Sinovation Ventures, will speak from 9:30 to 10:00 local time (from 10:30 to 11 GMT), depending on the Event schedule.

According to Lee, who for the past 40 years has been involved in AI research and product development at Apple, Microsoft and Google, Artificial Intelligence will be the most important development of the 21st century. Two decades from now, aspects of daily human life will be completely different.

As Lee writes in his book, AI will generate unprecedented wealth, revolutionize medicine and education through human-machine symbiosis, and create new forms of communication and entertainment.

However, by freeing ourselves from routine work, AI it will also challenge the organizing principles of our economic and social order. In the meantime, it will bring new risks in the form of autonomous weapons and smart technology that inherits from human bias.

AI is at a tipping point and people need to wake up, warns the specialist, who unites speculative fiction with technological analysis in a kind of “science fiction”.

In addition to the general approach, the International Congress of Artificial Intelligence will dedicate several panels in which different representatives will debate from their business experience. Thus, entrepreneurship, investment in technology or how companies use Artificial Intelligence in sectors such as tourism, climate change or health will be analyzed in this new edition.
