Kevin Spacey to appear on sexual assault charges

The actor is expected to appear in court later this week.

Kevin Spaceand has been indicted on four counts of sexual assault and will appear in court in United Kingdom At the end of the week.

The actor was indicted on charges last month related to alleged crimes in London and Gloucestershire between 2005 and 2013, and later confirmed that he would voluntarily travel to the United Kingdom.

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that Spacey has reached the United Kingdomwhich means that he is now formally indicted by the Crown Prosecution Service. He is expected to appear at the Westminster Magistrates Court Thursday at 10 a.m.

The charges relate to alleged crimes against three men, while Spacey also faces one count of causing a person to engage in nonconsensual penetrative sexual activity.

The actor previously shared a statement with ABC’s Good Morning America before traveling to United Kingdomsaying: “I very much appreciate the statement of the Crown Prosecution Service in which they carefully reminded the media and the public that I am entitled to a fair and innocent trial until proven otherwise.

“While I am disappointed in his decision to proceed, I will voluntarily report to the UK as soon as it can be arranged and defend myself against these charges, which I am sure will prove my innocence.”
