The multi-award-winning singer joins the group of artists that will set the scene for the ceremony to be held next Sunday, March 12 in Los Angeles
The Hollywood Academy announced that the American singer Lenny Kravitz will have a special participation in the Oscar ceremony next Sunday, March 12, in the segment ‘In Memoriam’.
In this space, members of the film industry who died in 2022 will be recognized.
Kravitz, winner of four Grammys, will appear in one of the spaces most followed by audiences, and which last year featured music from The Sample Choir.
Rihanna is the central figure of the film event, which will musically set the 95th Oscar delivery. An edition that, according to the Hollywood Academy, will have other celebrities that have not yet been revealed.
Kravitz has a career spanning three decades, eleven studio albums and more than forty million copies sold worldwide.
As the only child of the actress Roxie Roker and the film producer Sy Kravitz, Lenny Kravitz has deep connections with Hollywood, since he was also married to the actress Lisa Bonet and their daughter is the interpreter Zoë Kravitz, known mainly for the films “Mad Max: Fury Road” (2015) and “The Batman” (2022).
The Oscar 95 will be held on Sunday, March 12 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles (United States), will have comedian Jimmy Kimmel as master of ceremonies and will be televised live on ABC in more than two hundred countries.
