The organizers of the tour informed this Monday in a statement that the series of concerts will begin on September 22 at the Vina Robles Amphitheater in the Californian city of Paso Robles and will end at The Rosemont de Chic theater.
The Mexican Lupita D’Alessio, 69, will say goodbye to the stages of the United States with 10 concerts the next months of September and October in various cities of the country with her son Ernesto D’Alessio as part of the tour “Gracias Tour »with which he celebrates 50 years of career.
The organizers of the tour informed this Monday in a statement that the series of concerts will begin on September 22 at the Vina Robles Amphitheater in the Californian city of Paso Robles and will end at The Rosemont Theater in Chicago on October 18.
The list of cities in which the Mexican, known as the “Sleeping Lioness” and who began her career in the 1970s, will perform, includes the also Californian San José (San José Civic) on September 23, and the Texas Santo Antonio on October 12 (Boeing Center), McAllen on October 13 (Payne Arena) and Houston on October 15 (Bayou Music Center).
Ticket sales will begin next Friday for what will be the US tour of an artist with more than 40 million records sold throughout her career.
The statement highlights that the Mexican is considered one of the best performers in Latin America and is a symbol of Spanish-speaking music in the US.
The tour, which started in January of this year in Mexicali, includes the presence of his son Ernesto D’Alessio as a guest artist.
Lupita D’Alessio’s beginnings in the show go back to special participation in a variety show hosted by her father, Poncho D’Alessio, which gave way to her professional career in 1971 and participation in the International Popular Song Festival.
The artist was awarded in 2022 with the “Legendary Award” in the latest edition of the Latin American Music Awards, delivered by José Luis Rodríguez “El Puma”.
