Chung said authorities believe Choi had financial disputes involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollarsdepending on the medium skynews.
Choi was reported missing on Wednesday.
She would have been last seen by her ex-husband’s brother, who was also her driver. Police said the family had lied to mislead investigators.
The house was recently rented and was kept unfurnished, suggesting that it was prepared to dispose of Choi’s bodysaid the police superintendent.
It is believed that the ex father in lawwho rented the house, is the Intelectual author of the assassination plan, according to a police source quoted by South China Morning Post.
The investigation also found that Choi had not registered her marriage with her current husbandson of one of the founders of TamJai Yunnan Mixian, a Hong Kong casual restaurant chain operating in mainland China.
