Choi’s ex-husband’s father, mother and older brother were arrested hours earlier and face murder charges, Chung said.

“We believe that the victim and her ex-husband’s family had many financial disputes on large sums” of money, he indicated.

“Someone was dissatisfied with the way the victim handled his assets, which became a motive to kill,” he added.

Chung said authorities believe Choi had financial disputes involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollarsdepending on the medium skynews.

Choi was reported missing on Wednesday.

She would have been last seen by her ex-husband’s brother, who was also her driver. Police said the family had lied to mislead investigators.

The house was recently rented and was kept unfurnished, suggesting that it was prepared to dispose of Choi’s bodysaid the police superintendent.
