Boxing fans will once again be able to enjoy Floyd Mayweather, who at 45 years old announced what his next two presentations will be to continue this series of exhibition fights that he has been doing since his retirement. The American was surprised to confirm that in 2023 will give revenge to conor mcgregor.

In dialogue with Daily Mailthe retired world champion declared: “I want to go out this weekend and have fun (against Japan‘s Mikuru Asakura). Then I have another exhibition in Dubai in November and me and Conor McGregor in 2023″. In this way the rumors of recent weeks were confirmed indicating that there had been a rapprochement between the fighter of mma and former boxer.

We don’t know if it’s going to be an exhibition or a real fight. But there have been talks of both. I would prefer an exhibition, I don’t like fights where I’m going to take real punishment,” added Mayweather, who continued: “So guys like Conor McGregor and guys who don’t really hit hard, like youtubers or from the UFC, I don’t really like it. I don’t mind bumping into those kinds of guys, but nothing is going to put me in a position where I’m going to hurt myself.”

This weekend, Money will perform in Japan against 30-year-old MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura. Later, in November, he will face off in Dubai against the youtuber deji and in 2023, with a day and venue to be confirmed, he will give revenge to mcgregor.

It should be remembered that the Irishman, a former UFC champion, was the last rival in the American’s career. Both figures of the sport were measured in 2017 and the result was victory for the North American by technical knockout, which meant the 50th victory in his career that closed without falls.

Since that historic evening mcgregor fought as a professional in UFC on four occasions and three of them were defeats. The last one with a serious leg injury against Dustin Portier that has him away from the activity. A few weeks ago, the fighter spoke with Sky Sports and confessed that his career has not yet ended: “Obviously, my return will be in the octagon for the UFC: that story is far from over, in fact, it is just being written, it is only the beginning. But boxing, I will surely honor the ring again in the future.” And he will: in 2023 against Mayweather.
