The class of 2023 also coincides with a landmark year, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the hip hop genre and the 90th birthday of the legendary Willie Nelson.
Artists can be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their first commercial music release. They are voted on by a body of over a thousand peers, music historians, and industry veterans.
The new honorees will be formally inducted on November 3 at the annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony in New York, which will return to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center this year.
