NewJeans surpasses 1 billion cumulative streams on Spotify

Since they debuted last summer, NewJeans have taken the K-Pop world by storm.

The rookie girl group has been breaking records and reaching impressive milestones in a fraction of the time other K-Pop artists have, not to mention already landing deals with some very impressive luxury brands!

And now, they have another incredible milestone and record to add to their already long list. With just six songs on his discography, NewJeans has become the fastest K-Pop artist on Spotify to reach a whopping 1 billion streams.

They reached this number in just 219 days after their debut, the only K-Pop artist to reach it in less than a year, and only a couple of months after the release of their last two songs, “Ditto” and “OMG.”

Previously, BLACKPINK’s Lisa held the record for reaching the fastest 1 billion stream mark with 411 days. ENHYPEN now ranks third with 571 days, TWICE fourth with 579 days, and TXT fifth with 914 days.

Right now, his most streamed song is “Hype Boy” with around 243 million views. In second is “Ditto” with 222 million views, in third is “Atención” with 187 million, in fourth “OMG” with 186 million, in fifth “Cookie” with 103 million and finally in sixth place we have “Hurt” with 67 million.
