The Polish Minister of the Interior, Mariusz Kaminskiconfirmed this Tuesday in statements to the radio that the visit to poland of the President of the United States, Joe Bidenwill activate “the highest security standard” in all the country.
“President Biden is a world leader and (his visit) is a big challenge”, explained the minister. “We are cooperating very closely with the US services responsible for the president’s security,” he added.
Kaminski assured that “America has many enemiesIn Poland we know how tense the international situation is and we must be prepared for any scenario, for any eventuality”.
The White House confirmed last Friday that Biden will visit Poland between February 20 and 24 “for personally thank the Poles” for their support for Ukraine and its refugeesas well as deliver a speech on the occasion of the first anniversary of the outbreak of the war.

During his visit to Poland, the North American president will meet with the Polish president, Andrzej Dudawho recently expressed his intention to receive the support of the allies to establish military bases of the NATO on Polish territory.
Speaking to the Polish press on Monday, the US ambassador in Warsaw, Mark Brzezinskiemphasized the “historic” character of Biden’s visit and pointed to the fact that Poland is the only country included in this trip as “a clear sign of how important relations are” between the two countries.
Likewise, Ambassador Brzezinski announced that “the Poles will have the opportunity to see Biden in person in a great public appearance” during which the president “will thank the American people for their welcome to the refugees” from Ukraine.
It will be about the the only time in history that a US president has visited Poland twice in the space of one yeargiven that Biden was in Warsaw in March 2022.

Defense cooperation between Washington and Warsaw has gained new momentum in recent months since, at the NATO summit in Madrid in June last year, Biden announced that US Fifth Army Corps permanent headquarters to be established in Poland.
Poland has signed important arms purchase contracts from the US that include the acquisition of F-35 aircraft, M1 Abrams tanks and HIMARS missile launchers.
In addition, Warsaw revealed last year its decision to grant an American company the construction of its first nuclear power plant.
