Chicken is always a good ally when we want to reduce the consumption of red meat, but without neglecting animal protein.
- 500 grams of chicken breast
- 5 medium carrots cut into thin strips
- 2 cups of cooked broccoli
- 1 cup julienned onion
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sesame
- 1 pinch of garlic powder
- 1 pinch of salt to taste
- 1 pinch of pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Cut the breast into fajitas, that is, into strips. Then, to marinate them, place them in a bowl with a little salt, pepper, garlic powder and a tablespoon of soy sauce, stir to season and let sit for 20 minutes.
When the marinating time has passed, heat a little vegetable oil in a wok or pan and cook the chicken. Constantly move the meat so that it cooks very well.
In the same pan where you cooked the chicken, add the sliced onion and the carrot in strips and cook until the onion has changed its color and is a little golden and the carrot has softened.
Stir in the two cups of cooked broccoli. As it is already cooked, it is only necessary to sauté it a little so that it integrates with the carrot and onion.
You can steam the broccoli or boil it in water, either way the chicken fajitas with broccoli and carrots will be delicious.
Add the cooked chicken, mix to integrate everything and add the tablespoon of sesame seeds.
