Enjoy this classic Italian-American dish! Vodka fettuccine is prepared with a creamy sauce of fresh tomatoes, garlic and onion.
Ingredients
- 5 liters of water, to cook the pasta
- enough of salt
- 1 package of Fettuccine, 500 g
- 1/4 cups olive oil, for the sauce
- 1/4 onions, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves
- 4 tomatoes, poached
- 1 cup vodka
- 1/2 cups tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon chili flake
- enough of salt
- enough of pepper
- cup of whipping cream
- 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese
- to taste basil, to decorate
- to taste Parmesan cheese, to accompany
- to taste of salad, to accompany
Preparation
Heat the water in a deep pot and once it starts to boil, add the Fettuccine and cook for 7 to 9 minutes. Drain and reserve.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the onion, garlic, and tomatoes. Subsequently, pour the vodka and flame for 5 minutes.
Process the ingredients using a hand or arm processor until you obtain a smooth sauce.
Finally, add the tomato puree, chili flakes, salt, pepper, cream, Parmesan cheese, and Fettuccine.
Cook the sauce for 2 minutes.
Serve the vodka fettuccine in a deep plate and garnish with basil.
