Amid diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement between Israel and Hamas, Qatar’s Foreign Minister, Mohamed bin Abderrahmanannounced this Tuesday that his country’s mediation team received a “positive” response from the Palestinian terrorist group in relation to the proposed agreement for the release of the hostages it holds captive in the Gaza Strip.

“I would like to inform the media that We have received a response from Hamas regarding the general framework of the hostage agreement. The response includes some comments but in general it is positive,” said the Qatari minister at a press conference in Doha, together with the North American Secretary of State, Anthony Blinkenwho is on tour in the Middle East.

Almost simultaneously, the Hamas terrorists confirmed, through a statement, that they delivered to the main mediators their response to the truce agreement to stop the war with Israel. “A few moments ago, the Hamas movement delivered its response to the framework agreement to the brothers of Qatar and Egypt,” says the text, in which it also refers to “a comprehensive and complete ceasefire.”
