The American actress Reese Witherspoon, remembered for her performance in the film Legally Blonde and the series Big Little Lies, announced this Friday that she will divorce Jim Toth, the Hollywood talent agent with whom she has a 10-year-old son.
“With great care and consideration we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and we carry on with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together,” explained the 47-year-old Oscar-winning artist.
He added: “Our highest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal.

According to the specialized entertainment news site TMZ, people close to Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth affirmed that it was truly a friendly end to their union. Jim Toth, who played stars like Matthew McConaughey and Robert Downey Jr, was Reese Witherspoon’s second husband. Between 1999 and 2008 she was married to actor Ryan Phillippe and with him she has a 23-year-old daughter and a 19-year-old son.
