Rod Stewart leaves $12,000 tip at luxury hotel in Scotland

  • The singer recognized the work of the staff during his stay at the exclusive Gleneagles in the company of his family

The rock legend, Rod Stewart took a well-deserved vacation in Perthshire, Scotland and stayed at the luxury hotel Gleneagles where the rooms in December cost 2 thousand dollars (34 thousand Mexican pesos) because it is high season and the singer did not hesitate to thank the employees with an excellent tip.

According to local media, the “Baby Jane” singer went to the luxurious complex in the company of his wife Penny Lancaster and their two children, Alistair and Liam and he himself spoke about his accommodation and highlighted:
“I have been lucky enough to stay in some of the best hotels in the world and the service at Gleneagles is second to none.”

It was the same singer who said that the hotel staff do an excellent job at a very hectic time of year and deserve every penny and stressed: “It is Scottish hospitality at its finest.”
This is how Rod Stewart decided to leave them a tip of 12 thousand dollars, equivalent to 200 thousand Mexican pesos, but it was not only that, he also gave the employees some financial advice with a little humor:

“I advised the boys and girls at Gleneagles to invest their money wisely: go all-in on Scotland to win the Euros.”

This is just one more of the acts of kindness the 78-year-old singer has shown to people.
