negotiate peace in Ukraine will only be possible if you establish a “new world order” free from domination USAsaid the Russian foreign minister on Friday, Sergey Lavrovduring a visit to Türkiye.
“Negotiations can only take place if Russian interests are taken into account,” said Lavrov, who assured that these will be “the principles on which a new world order will be founded.”
Moscow tries to justify the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 alleging that both the Atlantic Alliance (NATO) as USA they were using their Ukrainian ally against them.
Before launching its offensive, Moscow had asked for security guarantees, including a withdrawal of the military alliance in Eastern Europe.
He kremlin considers that West wages a war on him through third parties in Ukraine by delivering military aid.

The Russian presidency reiterated this month that it saw no possibility of negotiating and that it had no other solution than to continue with the “special military operation”, a term used by the Russian authorities to describe the offensive.
The Kremlin thus ruled out possible Chinese mediation and a call for a truce from its ally, the Belarusian dictator. Alexander Lukashenko.
Lavrov came to the Turkish capital to discuss extending the grain deal, which allows Ukraine to export its abundant grain output, but threatened to end the deal.
The agreement, negotiated in July with the mediation of Türkiye and United Nationsis key to global food security.
Moscow considers that the part of the pact that should allow it to export its own food and fertilizers is not respected.

“If there is no progress in lifting the barriers to Russian fertilizer and grain exports, then we will ask ourselves if such an agreement is necessary,” he said.
“The United States wants to be hegemonic and impose its position on everyone. They want a unilateral new world order,” Lavorov said.
“Negotiations are possible if our just interests are taken into account,” added the Russian minister, adding that Russia is in favor of a new world order according to the principles of the UN and not dominated solely by the United States.
According to Lavrov, the West and the US prevent Ukraine from sitting at the negotiating table, to defeat Russia on the battlefield since “after Russia, the new target will be China.”
The two ministers focused their talks on the war in Ukraine and the grain export agreement, which Russia extended in March for only 60 days.
Çavusoglu stressed the importance of the agreement for international food security, but also stated that the Russian part of the agreement has not been implemented.
“We support the removal of obstacles to the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. The extension of the agreement on grains depends on the solution of these problems”, said the Turkish minister.
“The agreement on grain is applied unilaterally,” Lavrov said, stressing that the agreement reached with the UN was a package that also included the export of Russian grain and fertilizers.
“Cereals and fertilizers are not on the sanctions list. But western countries try to tell us that we cannot export. We are tired of appealing to consciences. If the situation of our cereals and fertilizers does not improve, we will reconsider whether we needed this agreement”, concluded the Russian minister.
