San Luis Potosí will host the national event “Expociencias 2022”

In this edition there will be the participation of 45 projects from San Luis Potosí among the nearly 500 that will be evaluated to participate worldwide.

In order to provide quality education and promote access to the arts, sciences and technology to students of all levels, as indicated by the Governor of San Luis Potosí José Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, the State will host of the event “ExpoCiencias Nacional 2022”, which will take place on December 7 and 8 at the facilities of the San Luis Potosí Convention Center, the Labyrinth Museum of Sciences and the Arts and the Faculty of Sciences of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi (UASLP).

The State Government through coordinated work between the Ministry of Education (SEGE), the Potosi Council of Science and Technology (Copocyt), the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur), as well as the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP) , granted all the facilities for this national and international event to take place in the state capital, which brings together the country’s most talented students of basic, upper secondary and higher education to present their projects.

At a press conference, it was highlighted that after two years of pandemic, “ExpoCiencias 2022 San Luis Potosí” arrives to exhibit 500 science and technology projects, which will be qualified by more than 450 appraisers to choose 40, who will have the opportunity to present itself internationally. San Luis Potosí participates with 45 projects.

Regarding the participation of the dependencies in this important national showcase of projects, the SEGE will grant the facilities so that two thousand students of the three basic, upper secondary and higher educational levels attend this event; as well as support in the diffusion and coordination of activities.

For its part, Copocyt has committed to bringing science and technology closer together to empower children and youth, aimed at guaranteeing access to an excellent, inclusive and equitable education.

The Sectur makes service providers available to participants to guarantee a first-class stay in the city of San Luis Potosí, as well as provide access to tourist attractions and hotel services in the State. It is estimated that “ExpoCiencias 2022” will leave an economic benefit of up to eight million pesos to San Luis Potosí.
