Shakira becomes the first singer to reach a million followers on Threads

The new social network of Mark Zukerberg and Meta came stomping on the digital terrain, causing many to assure the death of Twitter due to the popularity of Threads, which can be seen in the number of users it has gathered.

Less than 15 hours after its market launch, Mark Zukerberg has already announced that the new platform has exceeded 30 million users, including media, influencers, singers, actors and other celebrities.

Among the celebrities who came almost expressly to Threads are two of the Colombian exponents in music, Shakira and J Balvin were among the first artists to enable their profile on the new social platform.

Although it is the one from Barranquilla that is giving people something to talk about in this new network and it took just a few hours to set a record and become the figure to beat in popularity within Threads.

The singer-songwriter and interpreter of songs like Monotonía, Te congratulations, Acrostic and Las de la intuición came to show that her moment of fame has not passed as many claimed and already has more than a million followers on Threads.

With this, Shakira became the first singer to reach this figure, in addition, her first publication on this new social network that consisted of a simple “Hello, Threads” quickly added more than 15 thousand “likes” and two thousand responses from her followers.
