In order to promote environments of healthy coexistence and rescue traditions, as has been the work of the Governor of San Luis Potosí, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, the State System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) chaired by Ruth González Silva, carried out Various activities on the occasion of the Day of the Dead, for this reason, through the Attorney General’s Office for the Defense of Older Adults (PDPAM), an altar for the dead was installed and a skull contest was held.
During the celebration, older adults tasted a traditional bread of the dead and artisanal chocolate, sharing pleasant moments and memories about the relatives who occupied a place at the altar, with a photograph and offering that honored the memory of their loved ones; later they participated in the exhibition of skulls, which were qualified by each person attending the celebration.
The attorney, María de la Luz Camarillo Morquecho, pointed out that these types of activities are carried out with the intention of reinforcing communication ties between PDPAM personnel, as well as older adults, who have formed support groups to learn about different topics around human rights, social and emotional development.
In addition, he invited the older adult population to approach the PDPAM to be part of the various actions that the attorney general’s office undertakes in matters of legal, psychological and support advice, for which he indicated that every Friday at 10:00 a.m. Meetings are held in Alburquerque #140, Colonia Polanco, in the capital, with important topics addressed to this sector of the population.
