Sanctions

USA on Thursday sanctioned an individual and three exchange houses that it accused of facilitating the flow of iranian financial aid to the Houthis, in their most recent response to attacks on shipping by the Yemeni movement.

Two of the exchange houses are based in Yemen and one in Turkey, the official said. Treasury Department it’s a statement.

“Today’s action underscores our determination to restrict the illicit flow of funds to the Houthiswhich continue to carry out dangerous attacks against international shipping and risk further destabilizing the region,” Treasury Undersecretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence said in the statement.
