The emergency teams continue the search for another three disappeared by the avalanche that consumed the campin Father’s Organic Farmsituated in Batang Kalito some 40 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur, and that it did not have permission to serve as a camping site.
The massive landslide occurred at 2:24 a.m. Friday from a hillside about 30 meters altitudeaffecting some 450,000 square meters of land from the campsite, located in a wooded area of hills of Malaysia.
Using hardhats, shovels and other materials, rescuers worked in teams to sift through debris as deep as eight meters. Bulldozers were placed and some used dogs to detect possible signs of life or corpses. Officials said that approximately 450,000 cubic meters of rubble—enough to fill 180 Olympic swimming pools— fell on the camp

The camp at Batang Kali is a popular recreation site for setting up tents or renting them to the farm. But authorities said it has been operating illegally for two years. He has a permit to operate the farm, but does not have a license for camping activities. If found guilty, the operator faces up to three years in prison and a fine.
