The new one wave of Russian attacks in Ukrainewith bombing “increasingly indiscriminate and bloody of civilian areas”, constitute war crimes that they will not go unpunished, the European External Action Service assured this Friday.
“These indiscriminate Russian attacks on civilian facilities constitute war crimes. The European Union has made it clear that there will be no impunity for the commanders, perpetrators and accomplices of these atrocities. The EU remains committed to holding everyone accountable,” European diplomacy said in a statement.
The department headed by the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrellspecifically referred to the attacks with missiles and drones in Odessa and kyiv.
Also to the “indiscriminate” Russian attacks against civilian infrastructure in the region of Kherson where was used heavy artillery and a supermarket, a train station and a gas station were hit.

“The last of these Russian atrocities killed more than 20 people and injured nearly 50 in Kherson, all of them civilians. This reckless killing of civilians and the destruction of civilian infrastructure must stop immediately,” added European diplomacy.
Besides, Borrell on Thursday urged Russia to “do not use as an excuse” the alleged drone attack against its president, Vladimir Putinof which he accuses Ukraine, to continue the escalation of the war of aggression against that country.
“We call on Russia not to use this supposed attack as an excuse to continue the escalation of the war,” Borrell told the press upon arrival at a Council of EU Development Ministers, asked about that event.

The head of community diplomacy stated that “what worries us” is that this alleged attack “can be used to justify more recruitment of people, of soldiers, more attacks on Ukraine”.
“The most important thing we have to continue to do is support Ukraine militarily, politically and economically. And the best solution for war, the only solution for war, is that Russia stop the attack and withdraw from Ukraine”, he stressed.
