The head of the company of Russian mercenaries Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, complained about lack of ammunition and lashed out at the Russian Defense Minister with insults, Sergei Shoiguand the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces From Russia, Valery Gerasimov.
“These are the boys who died today, the blood is still fresh.”says Prigozhin in a video posted on Telegram, in which he shows rows of corpses of Wagnerites lying on the ground and he assures that the casualties would be five fewer if the Wagner units received the proper amount of ammunition.
He added that his units they only have 30 percent of the ammo they needfor which he directly blamed Shoigu and Gerasimov.
“They came here as volunteers and they die for you to fatten up in their mahogany offices.”, says Prigozhin, addressing the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff with various insults.
The Wagnerites are the assault force used by Russia in the battle that has been waged for the city for eight months Bakhmutin eastern Ukraine.
This Thursday Prigozhin claimed that in a single day of fighting 116 Wagnerites died due to the ammo shortagewhich he described as “very serious”.
For months the head of the Wagner family has denounced that the Russian Ministry of Defense does not supply its units with the promised ammunition.
At the beginning of March Prigozhin even threatened to withdraw his detachments from Bakhmut.
“If the Wagner private military company withdraws from Bakhmut, the entire front will collapse.”, he said in a video posted on YouTube and warned that the collapse could reach “as far as the borders of Russia and, perhaps, beyond”.
on Wednesday Prigozhin admitted that the ukrainian counteroffensive has already started upon noting the increase in the activities of the Ukrainian Army and the growing number of sabotages in Russian territory.
According to Prigozhin, “a very intense activity of the enemy aviation” is observed.
“We see intense activity on the perimeter and inside our front and although we control the internal part of our front, the situation on the perimeter is not the best”, he stressed.
“I will keep quiet about how safe our flanks are,” he insisted, referring to his claims to the Russian Ministry of Defensewhom he accuses of not guaranteeing the protection of Wagner’s flanks in the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut.
The head of the Russian paramilitary forces added that “the enemy has also been activated beyond the limits of Ukraine. We see it in our regions, in the news, (derailments of) trains, (attacks of) drones”, referring to a series of sabotages that have taken place since the end of April.
Call for an end to the war
In the middle of April, Yevgeny Prigozhin, asked Vladimir Putin declare an end to attacks on Ukrainian territory and “dig in firmly” in the occupied areasHe made it known through a statement published on his Telegram account.
“The ideal option would be to announce the end of the conflict, inform everyone that Russia has achieved the expected results And, in a sense, we’ve really achieved it,” he said. Prigozhin in the text collected by The Kyiv Independent.
“We have grounded a large number of soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and we can inform ourselves that our task has been completed,” the head of the Russian paramilitary group said.

“Russia cut off the Sea of Azov and a large part of the Black Sea, seized a large part of Ukrainian territory and created a land corridor to Crimea. Now there is only one thing left: to gain a firm footing and scratch those territories that already exist, ”he added.
Prigozhin acknowledged in his statement that Ukraine is a “completely nationalist state and Russia’s main task in the future should be to establish itself and firmly entrench itself in the occupied territories.”
In the midst of a new display of the divisions among the Russian military high command, the wagner group once again denied Vladimir Putin’s army which stated that it has blocked the Ukrainian troops entrenched in Bakhmutand assured that kyiv’s forces continue to resist in the epicenter city for months of fierce fighting.
