The man who opened the emergency door of an Asiana Airlines plane in mid-flight spoke: “I wanted to get off quickly”

The man who this Friday opened the emergency door of a south korean commercial plane Minutes before the flight landed at Daegu International Airport, some 240 kilometers southeast of Seoul, he told police he did so because he felt overwhelmed and wanted to get off as soon as possiblereported local media.

The man initially refused to speak during interrogations but eventually told authorities that lately he had been feeling very stressed after losing his job and that he was suddenly very overwhelmed inside the aircraft.

Once the preliminary interrogation is concluded, the police plan to request a arrest warrantor for man by violate aviation safety lawwhich can carry penalties of up to 10 years in jail in South Korea.

None of the 194 passengers who were on board the plane were injured during the landing but a dozen experienced hyperventilation and nine had to be hospitalized without a serious prognosis.
