The Powerball lottery prize rose to 1,600 million dollars and breaks the world record for the highest in history

The new bag exceeds the record previous $1.586 million obtained in 2016 by three people who bought Powerball tickets in California, Florida and Tennessee.

Powerball is available in 45 states, as well as in Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the virgin islands Americans.

The last record Powerball jackpot was six years ago. Winning ticket holders aren’t the only ones getting a payday in the drawing. The tax authorities of USA they’ll walk away with about 40 percent of the jackpot, and state and local authorities may want a piece too.

Powerball tickets cost $2 and are sold in 45 US states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

To play Powerball, the ticket buyer must choose five different numbers from one to 69, then choose a Powerball number from one to 26.

The shopper then goes home and dreams big—mansions, new cars, fancy food, and fancy vacations—while awaiting the results of the draw and the possible disappointment that follows.

If no one wins the jackpot in Saturday’s drawing, it will tie the record for the longest leg without a grand prize.

Before the massive Powerball payout of 2016, previous records were set at 2019 in Wisconsin (768.4 million dollars) and in 2017 in Massachusetts ($758.7 million).

The numbers drawn were 2, 11, 32, 25, 60 and the extra Powerball number was 23. Nobody got them right.

Therefore the jackpot continues to grow, and on Saturday there will be another chance to win. This time the prize amounts to 1,600 million dollars and it is the third largest lottery jackpot in the history of the country.

This is the world’s largest lottery jackpot in history.

The jackpot has been growing steadily since the grand prize was last won on August 3 in Pennsylvania.

Saturday’s draw, which will take place in the Lotería de la Florida at 10:59 pm (02:59 GMT), marks the 40th Powerball drawing since the jackpot was last won.
