Israel’s ambassador to the United States, michael herzogexpressed this Thursday his rejection of the declarations of the rapper Yeformerly known as Kanye Westwho assured in the program of a famous American conspiracist that he likes hitler.
“I am outraged by the conversation that Alex Jones had with the self-declared anti-semites Kanye West and Nick Fuentes. At a time when anti-Semitism is on the rise, it is alarming that such vile rhetoric is given a voice and legitimized,” Herzog said in a message on Twitter.
According to him Israeli ambassador to the United Statesthe two guests on the Infowars show — hosted by American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones — incited hate, which could lead to violence and death of jews in “horrific incidents.”
“Free speech does not extend to incitement to violence and the demonization of the Jewish community, which faces the highest levels of religiously motivated violence in the United States,” Herzog reaffirmed.
“We must all oppose the continuing threat of anti-Semitism. No society can have room for such hateful ideas, no matter who expresses them,” she added on Twitter.
During the show, Jones asked West about the controversial actions of the American artist, who lost his contract with Adidas over comments the company called “unacceptable, hateful and dangerous.” In this sense, the presenter has assured that Ye “is neither Hitler nor a Nazi”, after which the rapper has taken the floor.
“From this guy (Hitler) who invented the highways and invented the same microphone that I use as a musician, you can’t say out loud that ever did something good and i’m sick of it. I have tired of the classifications ”, she has expressed.
“There are many things I like about Hitler. Many things ”, Ye continued during his speech at Infowars.
Likewise, he explained that “every human being has something of value”, “especially Hitler”. Elsewhere in the interview, the host is heard arguing that “most Jews are great people,” though he agrees that there is a “Jewish mafia.”
“I don’t like the word ‘evil’ next to (that of) the Nazis,” the rapper has also said. “I love the Jews, but I also love the Nazis,” he added, after which Jones laughed, according to Billboard magazine.
