He North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad) reported this Saturday that it is carrying out “routine operations” to investigate the trail of a “unknown radar” flying over the state of Texas.
The organization formed by Canada and the United States, which provides air defense and control to all of North America, explained through a statement that after detecting the object on March 25, an operation was launched with an airplane to visually investigate the situation.
“The Norad aircraft identified a small airborne object as a ‘balloon peak’ of an amateur and evaluated that the object did not pose a military threat immediate or a danger to the safety of the flight,” he explained.
The “spike balloons” are small, ultra-light plastic flying objects in which transmitters or other types of electronic elements can be suspended, and are frequently used to carry out meteorological investigations.
The Norad explained that “it will continue to track and monitor the object” and that it is “in close coordination” with the US Federal Aviation Administration to ensure safety.
The event occurs a month and a half after the United States shot down a chinese spy balloon which flew over its territory for several days and which, according to the Xi Jinping regime, was part of a civilian mission looking for weather data.
A version that the Government of Joe Biden did not take as valid, a situation that strained relations between the two nations to the maximum.

Following this event, The United States raised controls in its airspace and carried out several operations to destroy aircraft that were flying over the country.
On the other hand, in February Canada also shot down an unknown object that violated the country’s airspace. and that it was flying at high altitude, announced the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.
The device was detected by the Norad and shot down while flying over Yuconterritory in the northwest of the country, bordering Alaska.
The Canadian Minister of Defense, Anita Anand, declared at that time that the authorities of her country did not know the origin of the flying object, but that everything indicated that it was not operated by a foreign government.
Anand noted that neither the object shot down over Yukon nor two others that were also shot down on the same dates off the coast of Alaska and over Lake Huron, on the US-Canada border, appear to be “affiliated” with foreign government entities.
The defense minister also noted that efforts to recover the remains of the three unidentified flying objects have been suspended.

Canadian lawmakers also questioned Anand about the discovery of Chinese monitoring buoys in Canadian Arctic waters.
The buoys were discovered and recovered last fall by the Canadian military although their existence was only revealed after the February 4 shooting down of the Chinese surveillance balloon that flew over Canada and the United States.
Anand said the buoys were collected for “operational security reasons” although he declined to elaborate so as not to provide “advantages” to his adversaries.
